Bankruptcy: Serving Creditors Petition.

Within 6 months after a debtor commits an act of bankruptcy, the solicitor on behalf of the creditor shall serve a copy of a Creditor’s Petition on the debtor. If the 6 months period lapsed and the Creditor’s Petition has yet to be served on the debtor, an application for extension of time to serve the Creditor’s Petition shall be filed. (Further reference: S.5 (1) (c) Bankruptcy Act 1967).
